New York, NY, USA

Every traveler should discover New York for themselves at least once in their lifetime. Yes, I know it’s a bit of a cliché, but humor me. New York represents one of the best sides of the US—with its dazzling diversity, sights and sounds. And the city is chock-full of history and significance.

Any world traveler would choose New York as a primary destination. Walking around the streets under the enormously tall buildings, visiting its famous landmarks and catching a show on Broadway should be on your list of must-sees. I’ve been to New York and am definitely coming back, if only to see “Hamilton” just once in my life! The recording of the original Broadway cast has been on repeat on my playlist for the last two years.

Let’s go on a treasure hunt and see a few sites that New York has to offer, shall we?

Look for Atlas’ statue in the shadow of Rockefeller Center, right in front of St. Patrick’s Cathedral, and get three iconic symbols of NYC in one shot.

And of course, everyone wants to see the Statue of Liberty, just for the experience of being in the presence of what she stands for—hope, freedom, and a better life. Standing before her is an awesome experience that I will never forget.

And what about Central Park? It’s the perfect place to go for a walk or even a run. Jogging in the presence of native New Yorkers will make you feel like you’re one of them too.

And please don’t miss the September 11 memorial. September 11, 2001 was, after all, an event that changed the world—a defining moment for our generation.

So, go ahead and put New York City on your bucket list.  There, you’ll meet people from all over the world. I haven’t even mentioned the incredible museums in NYC like the Met, the MOMA, the Guggenheim… and so many more. Eat a hotdog, or a slice of pizza on the street. Go to a concert, walk around under the bright lights of Times Square…

New York will catch your heart like no other city can.
